November 27, 1936 – Flight Director Glynn Lunney is born

Glynn S. Lunney was born November 27, 1936. He was an early employee of NASA beginning in 1958. His NASA experience included flight director for the Gemini and Apollo programs. He was on the floor during the near-tragic Apollo 13 flight. He later became manager of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. He also served as manager of the Space Shuttle program before leaving NASA in 1985.
