NASA web site feature highlight – the NASA calendar

In my continuing series of reviewing the new NASA web site I want to point out a neat feature; the NASA calendar has links to past missions.  One can scroll back toprevious months, and scroll ahead but there are not any future items put in the calendar database yet.  But alas, future missions can still be accessed here until they are linked into the calendar.

For example,  by browsing on the December 2007 calendar one sees that December 14th is highlighted by being a lighter shade of blue. Clicking on that day reveals that the Mariner 2 flyby took place on December 14, 1962.
